Kublai
Kublai Film is a new Venetian production company created in the city that was the historically privileged meeting place between the East and the West, a location full of historical meaning and for centuries, a cradle of new artistic expressions.
Seven hundred and fifty years after Marco Polo, we adhere to his spirit of exploration and his relationship with different cultures, continuing on the journey through new forms of expression. The fresh creativity from a younger generation combines with the rich know-how and experience of expert professionals.
Kublai Film follows this inspiration and produces works on a wide-ranging international level in both film and in high-definition, destined for the cinema and television. Just as Marco Polo pushed conventional limits with his explorations to China, our projects are designed to introduce new production possibilities in Venice.
Kublai Film also collaborates with Moeca, a company that provides all the facilities for documentary productions that illustrate an unusual Venice, showing how the artistic traditions of the past consolidate over the course of centuries and manifest themselves in today's contemporary Venice.
The first documentary we are proud to highlight is "La notte dei foghi," a film about the traditional Redentore celebration, a fascinating and historical spectacle both for its history and position between the sacred and the profane.
